Built for the field

The screen you need when the vehicle is moving, the light is changing, and the subject is not waiting.

Glanceable camera advice

Start with the setting that matters most. See the exact shutter speed or aperture, what the camera can handle automatically, and the autofocus approach supported by your body. Advice responds to subject motion, light, support, focal length, and your preferred level of control.

Sun and weather planning

Plan sunrise, sunset, twilight, golden light, and the sun's direction on a live map. Add a subject target or use the phone's facing direction to understand front, side, and backlight. Hourly forecasts are supplied by Apple Weather for the next ten days; sun planning continues beyond the forecast horizon.

Your actual kit

Build a local kit from a curated wildlife catalogue spanning major mirrorless systems, widely used DSLRs, lenses, teleconverters, and verified adapters. Your kit stays on the iPhone and directly informs the recommendation.

Wildlife likely nearby

Explore mammals, birds, reptiles, and amphibians more often reported in the same season or recently observed around a coarse regional area. Search worldwide taxonomy, read field and photography guidance, cache regional guides, and keep a private Seen log on your iPhone.

Private by design

No account, advertising, or tracking. Wildlife lookups use only an approximately 20–40 km regional cell, never precise GPS or source-observation pins. Optional aggregate product analytics contain no persistent identifier, coordinates, gear, scenarios, settings, forecasts, species, sightings, or recommendations, and can be disabled in Settings.
